On November 13th Blackberry #1 turned 6. Each year he has a party for his little friends. Untill this year it was always in our flat. But this year after reading a great post at kids”r”simple : http://kidsrsimple.com/2013/11/07/having-fun-party-at-fungiggles-giveaway/
I decided to host Blackberry #1’s birthday at an indoor playground. It has alot of pros: no cleaning the flat before or after the party, no dish washing. nothing gets broken, and more room for the kids to run.
The only cons is the money, it is kind of expensive. But I found an indoor playground pretty close to our flat, that is not that big, but this way you get to rent out the whole thing for 3 hours, no strangers are allowed during the party. It turned out I knew the owner so I even got a discount. The price includes 15 kids for 3 hours, face painting, games, a cake! and photographing!
The party was great, 15 kids came (12 boys, 3 girls).
The guests are arriving:
Some of them even made their own presents 🙂
Let the fun begin:
There was face painting:
and Blackberry #1 wanted to be Batman:
Group picture:
There were games:
Jumping in a sack:
Runing with an egg:
and Eating the loops with your hands behind your back:
Then came the cake:
The cake was a marzipan cake with vanilla filling with raspberries inside.
The prensents:
Have you ever held or been to a party at an indoor playground? How was it?
Great party, exactly what kids like .xx
Thank you! 🙂 Yes the kids had a blast!
Wow he did well, I’m all for no mess parties. Looks like a complete blast
Yes the kids had a blast, and the no mess part at home was great 🙂
What a great place, looks like lots of fun !
It is not very big, but lots to do. It is alot of fun 🙂
Looks like fun! I think that might be a good option for kids a bit older than mine, so I’ll keep it in mind for future. And congrats to the Big Blackberryboy!
Thank you for the birthday wishes! Yes, perfect for older kids 🙂
I am glad that my indoor playground party experience helped you decide on the birthday party venue for blackberry #1! I bet he had lots of fun. You are right about the cons is the money, otherwise it’s so hassle free and you get to relax with other parents while the kids enjoy. Happy birthday boy! 🙂 and thanks for linking up!
Thanks again for your post 🙂 Yes the birthday boy had a blast! 🙂 He was so happy. There was not that much time to relax with the other parents because some of the parents just dropped of their kids and left them there, so I had to feed them, give them drinks etc… The other pre-school parents always just drop of the kids and never stay to chat 😦 I always liked these partes and always stay, because this way I get to meet new parents.
Me too! I love to stay on and see how the kids enjoy and chat with other parents! I wouldn’t leave them behind and steal time for myself, not when I have good chance to interact!
What a fun day! I think having birthday parties somewhere besides your home is the best idea ever. I love the idea for face painting at the party too!
Yes it turned out to be a great idea 🙂 Face painting for kids is really popular here in Hungary.
Looks like a fun party! Great face painting (and no cleaning up!!).
Looks like a great time and love the no cleaning aspect too!!
I love the no cleaning aspect too 🙂 I hope you had a great Birthday also Camilla 🙂
Yes the party was a blast! The kids always enjoy face painting, and I enjoyed the no cleaning up 🙂
